It must be pretty awesome to have a hit song, right? Besides seeing something you created be appreciated by thousands if not millions of people, a hit single is often the flash point moment when a band or artists finally breaks through after years of hard work and toil.

It’s awesome. You write all of these songs and then one, just one, is beloved by the public and it’s all they want to hear. They absolutely love it. You just have to keep playing that one song and everyone will be happy, right? Happy! Just play the song, just play the song, just play the song…
