Acclaimed party-starters Northeast Party House recently announced a farewell tour of Australia. Don’t worry, they’re coming back, but their August tour will be their last Australian dates before they embark on their first overseas shows, taking in the US, UK, and Europe.

They’ll be hitting up venues in LA, New York, London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Prague, and the Czech Republic. What’s more, the crowds overseas can’t wait to see them. According to the band’s Facebook page, their London show sold out in just five days and a second show is coming.

To celebrate all the successes that the past 12 months has heaped on this fun-loving Melbourne outfit, they’ve just unveiled a new single for their fans. The shimmering, boppy track is titled ‘Perfect Lines’ and will help you forget that we’re still months away from summer.

“I wanted to create a song where the drums really had a rhythmic and an almost melodic strength of their own,” said guitarist Mitch Ansell. “The track essentially started with the verse drumbeat and some tacky pirated synth plugins, gradually turning into a guitar-based track about my direct sentiment towards a certain lovely.”

The track effortlessly fuses a thumping club energy beat intertwined with killer guitar riffs, harnessing everything that makes Northeast Party House one of the most raved-about and in-demand live bands around. It’s also the first glimpse of their sophomore album, scheduled for release in early 2016.
