Much like the love song and the party anthem, the diss track is one of the most treasured and important institutions in music. There’s thousands of them out there, some good, others bad, but each of them meant something to whoever wrote it.

That’s part of why we’re so fascinated by a good, scathing diss track. It’s emotion that connects us to music and there’s just something juicy and sort of voyeuristic about experiencing somebody’s rage and fury in such a way.
