Melbourne’s favourite psych rock sextet Lurch & Chief are today unleashing the brand new video for their single ‘Echo’ – a cut from the band’s recently released EP.

Directed by Danny Cohen, another Melbourne local who has worked with the likes of Mac Demarco, Chela and Slum Sociable, the video for ‘Echo’ is about dreams, as Danny explains The average person dreams anywhere between four and seven dreams during one night’s sleep. ‘Echo’ is a representation of this and follows Lurch & Chief’s singer Lil Hall as she experiences varying types of dreams.

From floating in space to a neon lit garden to being sandwiched between two clowns on a sofa. As the clip progresses the dreams become more and more surreal finishing on Lil being locked in a coffin by two Mariachi twins. Matching the psychedelic tones of the song, the clip is a trip through the strangeness of one’s subconscious and testament to the power of brain’s imagination.”

It’s a stunning video for an equally as stunning single, check it out below and if you like what you hear be sure to visit the band’s Facebook page for more info and upcoming shows.
