If you were born before 1995 and have feelings, you may not want to watch the following video. You will feel old and a bunch of stupid kids who don’t even know how to use an original iPod are going to make you feel that way. Like, seriously, don’t they teach kids anything in school?

Fine Brothers Entertainment, the folks behind the popular ‘Kids React’ videos, which commonly pits kids aged five and up against old-school technology like VCRs and the Sony Walkman, have gone ahead and introduced today’s kids to the way we listened to music back in the day.

“It’s like a cinder block,” exclaims seven-year-old Jenna about the first generation iPod, which if you’re a decrepit geriatric like us, you’ll remember came out right at the dawn of the new millenium, circa 2001, breaking new ground in the music industry.

However, as far as these kids are concerned, the first iPod is a clunky piece of garbage and comes with all sorts of frustrating inconveniences, such as the lack of WiFi connectivity, absence of apps, and having to wear headphones to hear the music.

According to one of the youngsters, it’s “a little sad” that everyone wanted the first iPod when it came out and even forked out $500 for it (for your information, they were awesome), while another claims that when the first gen iPod came out, dinosaurs were still roaming the planet.

However, one particularly wise seven-year-old manages to provide her fellow tots and tweens with a very shrewd insight: “It was probably amazing back then, because people didn’t even know what was coming in the future.” Well said.
