Chet Faker is on a serious roll. Having dropped one of 2014’s biggest album with his debut, Built On Glass, he’s gone on to dominate the Triple J Hottest 100, sell out shows around Australia, and make a serious impression overseas with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

One of the standout tracks from Built On Glass was ‘1998’. In addition to performing the track during his Kimmel appearance, the single’s accompanying music video has been viewed over 4 million times, and the audio has been streamed almost 5 million times on SoundCloud.

Now, with a huge run of East Coast tour dates on the horizon, a tour that will see Faker taking on his biggest venues to date in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney, the acclaimed singer and songwriter has unveiled a new version of ‘1998’ featuring guest vocals from LA electronic songstress Banks.

With her characteristically hushed and raspy vocals, Banks adds a second verse to the track as well as a whole new take on the chorus of the tune. Readers can check out the new version of ‘1998’ below or find out more info about Chet Faker’s Built On Live Tour here.
