Whilst hanging around Berlin recently, the members of Husky decided to interrupt a writing session to record a rather ambitious cover. They’ve now unveiled the recording and are sharing their cover of Tame Impala’s ‘Let It Happen’ with fans.

‘Let It Happen’ is the lead single and opening track from Currents, Tame Impala’s huge new album, which is currently sitting atop the Australian albums chart and garnering massive acclaimed both at home and abroad.

Husky have capitalised on this surge of momentum, recording a shimmering folk rock cover of the electronically-tinged psychedelic tune, complete with the band’s characteristically lush harmonies and their deftly plucked guitar work.

“Hey, while Gideon and I were writing in Berlin recently, we ended up doing a little cover of this song you may have heard called ‘Let it Happen’ by Tame Impala. Just because we felt like it… Get horizontal and have a listen,” the band recently took to Facebook to write.

As Triple J reports, after their tune ‘Saint Joan’ scored them $50,000 for winning the Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition, Husky’s second album, Ruckers Hill, saw a Stateside release back in June and the band will now be playing shows in New York and LA this August.
