One of Australia’s most treasured bands, The Whitlams, have announced they are hitting the road throughout September, playing shows across Australia and hitting up venues in Newcastle, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Melbourne.

“We’ve settled into a pattern of going around the country as a four-piece once every 12 months. It’s the most raucous three weeks of the year for me and It can’t come around too soon,” says founding member and frontman Tim Freedman.

This raucous three weeks will see Freedman joined by Jak Housden on guitar, Warwick Hornby on bass, and Terepai Richmond on drums, the band’s lineup since 2001, together recording to the Number 1 album Torch The Moon back in 2002.

The Whitlams’ September tour will also see them joined by a range of great opening acts. In Sydney, crowds will be treated to a performance by Perry Keyes with his full band, while Battleships will be opening in Melbourne, and Amber Rae Slade and the Mighty Big Noise in Brisbane.
