It appears US late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon has finally wised up and decided to squash the beef he sparked with Bangs, after he poked fun at the Melbourne emcee during a recent segment of his show.

Bangs has taken to Facebook to share a screenshot of what is allegedly an exchange of Twitter direct messages between the host and himself, in which Fallon has some kind words for the rapper and his recent diss track.

“BANGS! Well played,” Fallon writes in the series of messages allegedly sent to Bangs’ official Twitter account. “I actually like this version better. This one is on my PLAYLIST. Be well.”

“Thank u Jimmy for the love, I love u back we will meet soon,” Bangs responds, hopefully putting an end to the most volatile rap beef of 2015 before it escalates into West Coast-vs-East Coast proportions.

For those out of the loop, Fallon has a regular segment on his show called ‘Do Not Play’, where the comedian takes viewers through real songs you simply shouldn’t play, usually because they’re awkward or just plain awful.

Fallon made the mistake of playing Bangs’ infamous track ‘Take U To Da Movies’ during a recent instalment, much to the delight of his audience and members of Fallon’s house band. However, Bangs himself didn’t really see the funny side and issued a diss track aimed at Fallon.

Do not watch Jimmy Fallon’s show, he’s got nothing to talk about because he’s horrible“, Bangs sang on the track, which was effectively a reworked version of ‘Take U To Da Movies’, with the lyrics about ladies who like to go to da movies replaced by searing venom.

Ur Boy Bangs recently issued a new diss track, this time aimed at the entire contemporary hip-hop scene, reminiscent of Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Control’ verse, titled ‘Hip Hop Is Dead’.

Eminem calls himself the rap god, Tyga call himself the last king, bullshit”, Bangs raps on the track. “Drake, Meek Mill, Wale, know what I say? I’m trying to kill all of you in one day”. Check out the track below, he racks up quite the body count.
