Wherever notorious NOFX frontman Fat Mike goes, you can be sure it’s gonna get real. When the punk rock favourites toured Australia back in November, the singer made headlines after he kicked a stage-rushing fan in the face.

As some readers will recall, while on stage at Sydney’s Enmore Park, Fat Mike got spooked by an admittedly “way too drunk” fan who rushed the stage to get some one-on-one time with the singer. Mike promptly elbowed the fan and kicked him as he dropped.

The whole incident was resolved over social media, with Fat Mike later apologising to the fan, named Alex, and offering to buy him a beer at the band’s next gig. Now another interaction with a fan has Fat Mike in the headlines again.

As Consequence of Sound reports, on Monday evening, NOFX’s Fat Wrecked for 25 Years tour came blazing through the Cunard Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, but all was not well in the audience. At least, that’s what Fat Mike thought.

The band was reportedly enjoying some warmup banter with the crowd when guitarist El Hefe noticed a distinctly dressed “beardo” punter in the front row who didn’t look like he was enjoying all the jibber jabber.

The presence of this bearded “hipster”, who also sported a tie dye shirt, didn’t really fit in with the rest of the punk rock-loving crowd and he eventually began to get on the nerves of Fat Mike so much the singer decided to act.

“Yeah, you know what? You have no business being here. I will pay you $100 to leave this show,” Mike propositioned the punter. “Are you going to stand in front and bother me all day with your fucking tie dye shirt and your beard?”

The offer of 100 large ones didn’t quite sway the “hipster” enough to bail and he seemed adamant about standing in the front and bothering the frontman, so Fat Mike instead opted to buy the gentleman’s shirt off his back for $20.

All in all, we reckon this whole incident turned out pretty well for everyone involved. Fat Mike didn’t have any tie-dyed distractions during his show and the bloke got beer money for the night. Check out the transaction at the 1:45 mark below.
