Soundwave 2016 Lineup First Act Officially Confirmed

The wheels of the Australian summer festival scene are certainly starting to turn. We now have our first act officially confirmed for the eagerly anticipated Soundwave 2016 lineup and it’s none other than Bullet For My Valentine.

The Welsh metal outfit unveiled their latest album, titled Venom, today and broke the news to fans that they would be making their way down to Australia this January for Soundwave in a video posted to the festival’s Facebook page.

Having experimented with a two-day format for their last instalment, Soundwave Festival 2016 will see Australia’s premier hard rock and heavy metal event return to the single-day format, hitting up venues in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.

Meanwhile, the rumour mill has been spitting out potential lineup names for months now. Most recently there was talk that Swedish hard rockers Ghost could make the roster after a member revealed they’re planning an Oz tour for early 2016.
