For those uninitiated, it’s time to get familiar with talented MC Zii. Following on from the successful release of his first single ‘This is Afrika’, Zii is back with this new single titled ‘Belief’ featuring Natalie Ruiz which he’s premiering today.
Having lived in Australia for just over decade, this single ‘Belief’ expresses Zii’s journey which has been fuelled by his unwavering faith, as he explains “the journey’s been very interesting, I would have never thought I’d experience half the things I’ve been through. From racial discrimination, being stereotyped because of my faith to making amazing friends that have taught me about myself as well as this new place I now call home, I’ve both grown as an individual and formed an interesting world view that is influenced by a blend of cultures and founded on both negative and positive experiences.”
Weaving funk bass lines with Zii’s incredibly smooth flow, ‘Belief’ was produced by Byron Hosking, who is now based in London working for The Lab Recordings Studio.
