For those uninitiated it’s time to get to know Plastic. Born from the ashes of previous projects Five Mile Town and solo acts, Plastic is a newly formed alternative consisting of Melbourne locals and Kiwi ex-pats.

Sounding like they’re equally at home in the musical streams of alternative acts Wilco and Pavement, as they are in the realms of classic songwriters such as Neil Young and Neil Finn, the guys are today sharing a preview stream of the new EP.

Titled Nightmares, the four track EP explores the band’s undeniable talent for masterfully crafting thoughtful emotive indie rock.  With the release of this EP the five piece are producing wholly developed, sophisticated gems, an impressive feat for a band still in their relative infancy.

Check out their new EP below and if you like what you hear be sure to catch them in action during one of their upcoming shows (details below) and for more info pop by their Facebook page.
