Paul Dempsey is best known as the frontman of Australian rock veterans Something for Kate, with whom the talented singer-songwriter and multi-insturmentalist released six albums of heartfelt, deftly crafted alt-rock songsmithing.

What you might not know about Paul Dempsey, however, is that his all-time favourite band is Fugazi, so he knows a thing or two about punk rock. He also just so happens to be an ardent fan of St Kilda Football Club.

Well, the Saints recently gave Dempsey the opportunity to put two of his biggest passions together, inviting him into Hothouse Studio to recording his own version of the St Kilda Football Club anthem, ‘When the Saints Come Marching In’.

As readers can see in the video below, Dempsey went auteur on everybody’s asses, playing every instrument on the recording, which, by the way, is an absolutely kick-ass, punk rock version of the St Kilda anthem.
