Didn’t Chris Russell’s Chicken Walk just finish a tour? Yes, you’d be right in that assertion, but just two days after finishing their tour in support of their ‘Swimsuit’ single, they’re hitting the road once again to celebrate their new album, Drive All Night.

Drive, an album described as “elemental, natural and supernatural, full of hurricanes, mermaids and femme fatales”, is set for release on 9th October and the band’s first run of dates for what will be an absolutely massive national album tour have been revealed.

Whilst writing the new album, the band’s titular frontman stopped listening to music altogether so as to hear his own voice amongst everything else. Heading down a rabbit hole of film noir, Russell created an album with similar language, narrative, and imagination.

Adding to the perspective change was Dave Folley behind the drum kit. Drive is Diamond Dave’s first recorded contribution to the outfit and he managed to sign himself up for one hell of a roller coaster ride.
