Following two huge lineup drops, one of Australia’s Dashville Skyline 2015, the brand new Americana-themed music festival set to take over the Hunter Valley this October long weekend, have announced their first and second round of bands and artists.
Dashville Skyline was brought together with a view to embracing the burgeoning Americana music scene in Australia, capturing elements from the movement’s nascent days in the late 1960s and celebrating the great music and culture surrounding modern Americana.
In honour of the thriving American music culture we thought we’d have a retrospective look at some of America’s most prominent music scenes and movements throughout recent history, circling the origins of some much beloved genres, and how they’ve impacted and laid out the foundations for today’s bands and artists.
