We’ve previously said that 2015 will go down in history as the year of Courtney Barnett. It’s the year that the homegrown singer-songwriter unveiled her wry and witty debut, Sometimes I Sit and Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit, and played to sold-out crowds around the world.

The Barnett bandwagon shows no signs of slowing down, either. The ‘Depreston’ singer recently unveiled her latest music video, announced an absolutely massive tour of her homeland, and she’ll be appearing as part of a special Patti Smith tribute during the forthcoming Melbourne Festival.

The buzz surrounding Barnett and the tidal wave of momentum she’s riding at the moment prompted the folks over at Pitchfork to produce a documentary on the singer as part of their Contours series, for which they followed her trek from Napa to New Orleans in late May and early June.

Directed by Dan Huiting, who’s been behind the lens for the likes of Bon Iver, Kathleen Edwards, and Zoo Animal, the film depicts Barnett as she supports her debut album around the US, and judging by the trailer below, it’s packed with some stunning visuals.
