Back in January, we reported on the rather incredible feat achieved by beloved Sydney five-piece Sticky Fingers. Coming off the back of an absolutely massive 2014, the band managed to sell out a national headlining tour without even announcing it.

Fans snapped up tickets to the March tour, which included stops at major venues in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, without any promotion whatsoever. The band simply listed the gig details on the sites of the respective venues.

We were pretty floored when we heard the news. We knew the quintet had a rabid fan base, but ask any tour promoter (and we’ve spoken to our share) and they’ll tell you it’s almost unheard of to sell out a show without, y’know, actually telling anyone about it.

Well, they’ve done it again. Yes, Sticky Fingers have managed to completely sell out a gig without so much as a word from the band. Somehow, fans managed to catch wind of the news and bought up all the tickets before they even had a chance to announce it.

Tickets for the band’s upcoming show at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre this October quietly went on sale yesterday and promptly sold out. Not a bad homecoming for the boys, who’ve been busying themselves with raucous gigs across North America the past few months.

The band are still trekking across North America and are set to complete their tour of Canada next month before they return for their homecoming Enmore show and a handful of festival appearances, including the inaugural This That festival.
