It’s been a hectic 12 months for Brisbane indie-psych upstarts The Belligerents, who recently caught the nation’s attention with their mind-blowing cover of the Fat Boy Slim classic ‘Praise You’ for triple j’s Like A Version.

Even Fat Boy Slim himself was on board, retweeting the video and commending the boys on their “GREAT WORK!” Now, the boys will be capitalising on that momentum by embarking on a national tour this November and December.

In addition to planning their countrywide trek, the boys have been busy in the studio working on the follow-up to their singles ‘In My Way’ and ‘Voices’. Their latest release, ‘Looking At You’ was self-produced by the band and engineered by bass player Konstantin Kersting.

“We’ve continually been trying to expand sonically as a band and I hope that shows on this new single,” said Konstantin. “When we were in the studio this time round we had a lot of time to actually ‘think’ about the sounds, rather than just sticking to the stuff we’ve been doing all along.”

Their forthcoming EP is set to be their best work yet and a defining release for the Brisbane favourites. Catch The Belligerents during their national EP with special guests Jenny Broke The Window this November. Check below for all dates.
