The Soundwave 2016 lineup is quickly coming together and word is we’re just a matter of weeks away from the full shebang.

In the meantime, organisers have confirmed yet another name who’ll be touching down in Australia this January and it’s none other than LA’s Failure.

Failure are the quintessential band’s band, releasing a string of acclaimed releases that, while remaining largely underground, have been cited by countless artists as hugely influential. Their songs have been covered by the likes of A Perfect Circle and Paramore.

Earlier this month, organisers confirmed that Soundwave punters would be rocking out to the sounds of Welsh metal outfit Bullet For My Valentine and local legends Dead Letter Circus, who’ll be hitting up venues in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne this January.

Having experimented with a two-day format for their last instalment, Soundwave Festival 2016 will see Australia’s premier hard rock and heavy metal event return to the single-day format, hitting up venues in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.

Meanwhile, the rumour mill has been spitting out potential lineup names for months now. Most recently there was talk that Swedish hard rockers Ghost could make the roster after a member revealed they’re planning an Oz tour for early 2016.
