The Weeknd, aka singer Abel Tesfaye, recently gave an acclaimed performance at the MTV Video Music Awards and if you want to know what he got up to afterwards, this new ad campaign for Apple Music has the answer.

Apparently, he got into an Uber driven by John Travolta, who was never told that he should keep his eyes on the road when behind the wheel. A totally out-of-it Tesfaye then makes his way to a buzzing after-party.

Readers can check out the two ads below, but be warned, they’re very trippy and liable to leave you confused and scratching your head. Like, why John Travolta? And is John Travolta real or just some drug-induced hallucination?

We’ve gotta say, it was pretty bold of Apple to go with something so bizarre and conceptual for their latest ad campaign and it’s definitely leagues better than a silhouette of Bono wailing as various colours swirl around him.
