Undeniably a Tone Deaf favourite, Melbourne duo friendships have once again outdone themselves with the release of two tracks ‘Pedal To The Metal’ and ‘Ded Soun Konduktah’. One part music. One part visual Melborune duo friendships still strangely feel like one of the city’s best kept secrets.

Comprising of visual artist Misha Grace and producer Nicholas Brown,  these guys produce ferocious, grimy, futuristic hip hop and dancehall influenced electronic music that sounds equal parts calculated and animalistic. To date they’ve scored support spots for acts such as Cashmere Cat, Mark Pritchard and Erykah Badu and signed signed to New York label Mansion Records (NYC) in the US.

Like their previous release ‘When I Feel Like Killing, I Murder’ this double single “manages to capture the intensity of a live Friendships set, exploding in frenzied bursts of dub, jungle and industrial rave.” Check it out below and if you like what you hear be sure to visit the duo’s Facebook page for more info and if you’re heading to Bigsound be sure to catch them in action.
