Melbourne’s favourite garage rock delinquents, Drunk Mums are gearing up to release their eagerly anticipated forthcoming sophomore album, Gone Troppo – out tomorrow September 4th via Pissfart Records.

This is the first full length record from the guys since the release of their self-titled 2012 record, and since then the guys have been on a bit of a musical journey. Writing, recording, touring nationally and gigging locally in the past few years the pub rats have crafted a fresh swag of tunes that show a more dynamic side to the band, drawing influences from CCR through to 77 – style punk.

Gone Troppo was recorded and mixed by Nick Hoare (ESC, Absolute Boys, Scotdrakula) across two locations in Melbourne. One was out by a truck stop in Reservoir, and the other was at Brunswick’s Smooch Records. To celebrate the release of the record, the guys are giving Tone Deaf readers a cheeky lil’ early stream of Gone Troppo which you can stream below. On September 12th they’ll be kicking off a huge national tour – so don’t miss ’em when they roll into your town.
