RTRFM’s online short film series The View From Here returns following a short break while the station turned its attention to its annual Radiothon fundraising drive.
Episode number 10 features the stunning talents of singer and songwriter Grace Barbé. Flanked by band members Jamie Searle, Joelle Barbé and Dan Carroll, Grace brought her blend of tropical island rhythms, Afrobeat, Latin, rock, reggae, jazz and pop to RTRFM’s Studio A for an impressive 26 minute, five song set.
Captured by local filmmaker, animator and producer Sam Price and produced by RTRFM, the series was recently nominated for Excellence in Digital Media in the 2015 Community Broadcasting Association of Australia’s Community Radio Awards.
The View From Here short film series launched in November 2014 with support from the Department of Culture and the Arts, and aims to showcase the wellspring of talent in Western Australia’s music scene, across a variety of genres and locations.
