Today Fremantle’s Kill Devil Hills are unveiling ‘I Am The Rut, I Am The Wheel’ the freshest cut from their upcoming fourth studio record titled King Pest (set for release January 2016).

Potentially the shortest track ever released from the six piece, the menacing ‘I Am The Rut, I Am The Wheel’ solidifies the band’s status as one of the most exciting, yet most underrated rock groups in the country.

Kill Devil Hills vocalist and guitarist Brendon Humphries explains the meaning behind the single: “The title and lyric loosely refers to the idea that deeply held beliefs or habits become the rut in the track of our lives that our wheels will sit in, and be limited to; we contain both these aspects, the freedom and the prison. Time to get a four wheel drive maybe…”

A impressive decade since the release of their debut LP Heathen Songs (2005), the guys will be hitting the road to now celebrate the release of their brand new single with shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, tour dates below. To buy a copy of the single visit www.thekilldevilhills.bandcamp.com.
