Swiftly rising hip-hop favourites Remi and Sensible J, the team behind last year’s Australian Music Prize-winning album Raw X Infinity, have today announced the official launch of their own record label, House of Beige Records.

“It’s been a long time coming. Most people know that we released our own album ‘Raw X Infinity’ under House of Beige but to now be able to recognize and release other people’s music that we love is a long-term dream come true,” said Sensible J.

The label’s first release will be Australian hip-hop notable HAU’s eagerly anticipated The No End Theory, which is set to drop Friday, 25th September, featuring the singles ‘KILL.I.AM’ and ‘Skip Hop’ and cameos from Che Fu, Oddisee, and more.

“I’m extremely stoked about this release because this is the album I’ve always wanted to make,” said HAU. “I had a vision for it and J & Dutch helped me turn ideas, as wacky as some were, into a reality… It’s an honour to be the first cab off the rank.”

But as Remi explains, House of Beige will be more than just a record label. “Whilst House of Beige will release records that we think are amazing, it’s a whole lot more than that. It’s a space where we can recognise our incredibly talented homies regardless of label,” he said.

“House of Beige has always been an affiliation, you know, people in our crew who have spent quality time in the physical House of Beige (the recording studio that is Sensible J’s spare bedroom),” the J Award-winning rapper added.

For more details, head to the House of Beige website. Remi, Sensible J, and HAU will be celebrating the official launch of House of Beige Records with an unofficial launch party at Melbourne’s Section 8 on Friday, 25th September from 10pm.
