Sunbeam Sound Machine were recently announced as one of the stack of Aussies headed to New York to play the city’s famous CMJ Music Marathon next month, but they need a bit of help in getting all the members of the band to the Big Apple.

“This is a chance to wow the international press and industry heavies and finally become globe-trotting billionaires,” the band write. “BUT, being a 5-piece touring band who are not billionaires, these things add up.”

To help finance their trip, Sunbeam Sound Machine are throwing a party at The Shadow Electric in Melbourne on Friday, 2nd October with a few of their friends, including Good Morning and Ciggie Witch to raise some much-needed funds.

The band have also launched a Pozible campaign to help things along and cover travel costs to the USA. Prizes on offer include a private house party gig, a song remixed by Nick Sowersby, and 5 x original songs written about the topic of your choice and recorded to cassette tape.

You could also receive a personalised cookbook of the bands favourite recipes, signed glamour shots, or a personalised haiku delivered directly to your inbox. Full details on the Pozible campaign can be found here.
