The 2015 instalment of Listen Out festival kicked off over the weekend, bringing a stacked lineup featuring Childish Gambino, SBTRKT, and Alison Wonderland to Melbourne’s Catani Gardens and Ozone Reserve in Perth.

In a repeat of events last year, a number of would-be punters have been caught on camera attempting to break into the Perth event. Footage uploaded to YouTube shows dozens of revellers taking down a wire fence at Ozone Reserve yesterday.

However, despite their tenacity, most of them don’t have any luck. After breaking through the wire fence, the gatecrashers are forced to run back and scramble when they hit a second fence, right as a car of friendly police officers arrive.

As some readers will recall, this isn’t the first time that Listen Out have experienced trouble with gatecrashers. Videos of punters swarming fences and barricades circulated online following preceding events.

A 29-year-old security guard was left with a ruptured spleen and suffered internal bleeding after he was trampled over by a horde of gatecrashers who rushed the fence during the Sydney leg of Listen Out 2014.

While no official statements have been released, it appears no one was injured during the incident depicted in the recent footage. Western Australia Police have not released a statement confirming any arrests during Sunday’s event.
