One of our favourite local duos The Orbweavers recently released their stunning new single ‘Poison Garden’ and today they’re unveiling the video accompaniment.

Created by Aussie artist Lucy Dyson, the clip is a trippy, vivid, botanical dream. Artist, animator and award-winning music-video director, Dyson has produced and directed music videos for artists including Gotye, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Gemma Ray, Giant Sand, Ray LaMontagne and more.

The single itself is a delicate ode to poisonous plants, as The Orbweavers (aka Marita Dyson & Stuart Flanagan) explain: “Poisonous plants have contributed to the development of essential medicines used for heart conditions, pain relief, in ophthalmological preparations, as antidotes, cancer treatments and more. This is a song about the astonishing power of common plants we grew up with.” Check out the track and video below – if you like what you’re seeing visit www.lucydyson.com and if you like what you’re hearing pop by www.theorbweavers.com.
