These days, Will Smith is a critically acclaimed and consistently bankable Hollywood star, who’s got countless box office smashes to his name. But what some of you may not know is that he was born and raised in West Philadelphia and spent most of his days on the playground.

It’s there (we presume) where he picked up a knack for rhyming, dubbing himself the Fresh Prince and partnering up with DJ Jazzy Jeff to form a music duo that would go on to nab Grammy nominations and chart-scaling hits like ‘Summertime’ and ‘Boom! Shake the Room’.

In the mid-90s, after his successful sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and several well-received films, Smith returned to music with the albums Big Willie Style and Willennium, which spawned several hits and were generally regarded as fun and harmless party records.

Smith has largely been absent from the music scene since 2005’s ‘Switch’ and, well, this new release, ‘Fiesta’, a collaboration with Bomba Estéreo, could explain why. The track is, for all intents and purposes, awful and features Smith doing a really bad impression of Pitbull.
