Whilst recently on tour in Australia, Italian producer Giuseppe Ottaviani was apparently quite taken with the sounds we Australians take for granted every single day of our lives. We refer, of course, to the sounds of our pedestrian crossings.

Tasked with creating a contribution to Subculture The Residents: Volume Two, an upcoming release on Black Hole Recordings, the record label founded by Tiësto himself, Ottaviani decided to sample our crossing lights and chucked the sounds into his latest tune.

Ottaviani’s last Australian tour took place all the way back in 2014 and the track is only just now seeing the light of day, which means the producer has been obsessing about our crossing sounds for a full year.

Take a listen to the track below. You can hear the unmistakable clicks and wails of our crossing lights throughout the tune, so we recommend you don’t listen if you happen to be walking down the street – it can only end in disaster.
