If you haven’t noticed, spring is kind of the season for festival lineup announcements, which also means that, inevitably, there will be lineup acts that simply can’t contain their excitement and will leak their spot.

It seems Sugar Mountain, which is set to return to Melbourne next year, is the latest festival to see an artist spill the beans early, with New York rapper Le1f leaking his place on the Sugar Mountain 2016 bill this morning.

It will be the artist’s first Australian performance since appearing at Meredith Music Festival back in 2013 and he’ll be arriving on the back of his debut album, Riot Boi, which is scheduled to drop later this year.

Meanwhile, Sugar Mountain Festival is scheduled to return to Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts on Saturday, 23rd January, with the full lineup set to be announced on Monday, 12th October.

After taking a break in 2014, Sugar Mountain returned earlier this year with a highly lauded event that features the likes of Nas, Ariel Pink, Body/Head, Swans, and more, with an acclaimed arts and culture program.
