Once it was Jimmy Fallon who graced the throne as the king of getting awesome musical acts on his late-night talk show, but it looks like Stephen Colbert is giving Fallon a serious run for his money.

Colbert recently took over David Letterman’s late-night post and he’s been booking some spectacular musical guests. Just one night after welcoming Florence and the Machine, the host brought our own Tame Impala into the studio.

The band is currently in the US spreading the good word about their latest full-length, the critically acclaimed Currents, which recently nabbed frontman Kevin Parker two ARIA Awards for production and engineering.

Parker and co delivered a stellar rendition of the shimmering ‘The Less I Know the Better’ amid a trippy backdrop of lights and projections, which makes you feel like they’re performing in some sort of interstellar disco.
