Having garnered a reputation as one of Perth’s hottest up-and-coming acts with a string of acclaimed live performances, including a support slot for Sydney’s Gang of Youths, Oakland have now returned with a moody new single titled ‘Tired Eyes’.

The track, described by triple j’s Dom Alessio as “a sweet slice of moody indie rock”, is taken from the band’s debut EP and follows on from the record’s lead single, ‘Into The Sea’, which received high rotation on triple j Unearthed.

Citing influences such as The National and Arcade Fire, it’s easy to see why Oakland’s songwriting has mustered such acclaim from fans and critics alike for its at once accessible and evocative nature.
