With a lineup featuring the likes of Bloc Party, Foals, Disclosure, Peking Duk, and so many more, you’d be hard-pressed to find a way to make this year’s Falls Festival any more fun than it already is.

Well, leave it to organisers to think outside the box. Making a giant splash at Falls Festival Byron Bay this summer will be a purpose built, supersonic water park dubbed Palm Springs. Yes, a water park at Falls Festival.

We’ll just let you mull that one over for a second… okay, done? Now let’s tell you about the latest Falls Festival attraction, which will be helping punters keep cool in the Byron Bay sun this summer.

Palm Springs will feature a double-lane, nine metres tall, 20 metres long screamer water slide; four large infinity pools; mushroom fountains; life guards on the lookout; and of course, curated tropical party music.

With Palm Springs, organisers say they’re looking to replicate “the retro stylings of the very best ’80s Californian resorts”, so make sure you bring the obligatory Hawaiian shirt, boat shoes, and your swimmers for Australia’s biggest pool party.

After you’ve taken a dip, take a break and chill at the Falls Festival Byron Bay ‘Foxtel Movie Marquee’ where you can sit back and chill out with Foxtel’s latest movie offerings in an air-conditioned setting.

As you enter, receive your very own viewing pad, where you can browse and select the latest films and shows at the touch of your fingertips with free buttery, fresh popcorn. It’s the perfect mid-festival break.

If you’ve been keeping up to date with all the news surrounding Falls Festival, you’ll know organisers recently added a whole string of new acts to the lineup, with Falls Byron receiving the lion’s share.

Organisers have also announced a huge raft of Falls Festival sideshows, with headline dates coming at you from the likes of Disclosure, Foals, Courtney Barnett, Kurt Vile, Mac DeMarco, Gary Clark Jr, Toro Y Moi, and more.
