Acclaimed Aussie rapper Urthboy has returned to drop his first single in three years and it’s a doozy. ‘Long Loud Hours’ is a true story for the ages, recounting one of the wildest and most reckless gestures of love in modern Australian history.

A sprawling project developed over three “life-changing” years, ‘Long Loud Hours’ had its genesis in the National Archives in Canberra with Pip Norman, before being transformed at the iconic Alberts Studios in Sydney with help from Hermitude.

‘Long Loud Hours’, which is set to drop on 16th October through Elefant Traks / Inertia, features a beautifully paced musical arrangement, which captures the powerful narrative thrust of the story being told.

With some added emotive pull from singer Bertie Blackman, the talented team at Broken Yellow have crafted a poignant and eye-catching music video for Urthboy’s long-awaited new single, with silhouette story-boards and stock footage of the event in 1999.
