Having announced the addition of critically acclaimed rapper and international star Kendrick Lamar to their 2016 lineup, Byron Bay Bluesfest is on a roll and organisers have now announced a whole raft of awesome sideshows.

Celebrations are kicking off with Sturgill Simpson. Since winning Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2014 Americana Music Awards, Simpson has gone on to develop a reputation as one of true country’s modern vanguards.

Meanwhile, outlaw country pioneer Steve Earle is set to make his return to Australia this March. The Grammy Award winner is a prolific and multi-skilled artist, who established ‘New Country’ with his 1986 album Guitar Town.

There’s also headline dates from The Selecter and the legendary Wailers, frequent visitors to Australia and one of the most recognised names in reggae music. Readers can check below for all the dates and details.
