Thundamentals recently completed a successful tour of Europe, with fans coming out in droves to see some of Australia’s finest homegrown hip-hop exports do their thing on stages across the continent.
The trip even secured the band a global booking deal with Steve Strange of X Ray Touring (UK), which sees them joining the ranks of Eminem, Odd Future, Queens Of The Stone Age, Coldplay, and Hilltop Hoods.
Thundamentals will now be exclusively booked by X Ray Touring outside of North America and Australia. The news comes as the band are in the full swing of writing the follow-up to last year’s killer LP, So We Can Remember.
The album was a huge success for the group, peaking at Number 3 on the ARIA Album Charts, earning ARIA Award and J Award nominations, and yielding three songs that made it into triple j’s Hottest 100.
“Touring Europe and the UK was a trip!” said Jeswon. “It was incredible to see so many people interested in what we are doing despite never having really seen or even heard of us before.”
“One thing which struck me was how polite and friendly everyone was. It’s really opened our eyes to the opportunities that touring in another continent offers.”
