Having announced one spectacular headliner in The Flaming Lips, the organisers of the annual MONA FOMA festival set to take over Hobart’s famous Museum of Old and New Art this January have now unveiled an equally spectacular full lineup.

Curated by Violent Femmes’ Brian Ritchie, Mofo 2016 is a “beautiful broken-up beat of old and new” featuring more than 300 artists, musicians, and performers from around the world, including Evelyn Glennie, DJ Krush, Kate Tempest, Kate Miller-Heidke, and more.

MOFO 2016 will take place from Wednesday, 13th January till Monday, 18th January, with the full lineup set to be announced to coincide with tickets going on sale at 11am AEDT Friday, 16th October.

As always MOFO will be taking over the Museum of Old and New Art this summer, peaking with a hectic weekend inside Mona’s famous “subterranean galleries, cavernous spaces and sprawling, sunny agoras”. It’s an Aussie festival experience unlike any other.
