Melbourne five piece Patches create delicate bittersweet music reminiscent of Low and Durutti Column and today they’re sharing the video for their stunning indie pop gem  ‘Chrysanthemum’.

Created by bass player, Nick Pensa, the clip is inspired by the works of Jules Verne and Czechoslovakian director Karel Zeman. According to the band it’s a “mixture of live action and animation, it sees the band’s singer/guitarist Iain Wallace doing his best Jacques Cousteau impression as he is sent to the depths of the ocean, in search of his crew.”

The band are gearing up to record a new EP in the new year, but you can catch them this Sunday at the Darebin Music Feast. Check out the impressive video below and if you like what you’re seeing/ hearing pop by the Patches Facebook page for more info on upcoming release and shows.
