Local rockers Waxhead are self-described surf rats whose sound sits somewhere between Oz rock and psychedelic, drawing on influences as diverse as Pink Floyd and Talking Heads. The crew are still riding a wave of momentum (no pun intended) generated by the release of today of ‘Brussels’, an addictively energetic output from the guys.

This year has seen the Waxy’s release their debut E.P Home which took them on a crazy tour schedule over into some new territories and countries. 2016 leaves the boys ramping up for an even bigger year with more studio time and an extensive touring schedule taking them across Oz, as well as Europe, Japan, Indo and China.

With guitars tightly snug between surfboards Waxhead deliver salty surf grooves and quirky quips from the beach front. The plan is simple, have so much fun it becomes contagious. Check out the single below and if you like what you’re hearing pop by the Waxhead Facebook page.
