Everyone’s favourite genre bending party starters The Cat Empire are today premiering the video for their addictive single ‘Wolves’. It’s the first taste  of their new album release which is planned for early 2016.

“’Wolves’ is one of the most unique songs we’ve ever released,” said frontman Felix Riebl. “It’s got a Caribbean disco edge, with a African-sounding melodic hook played on a (broken) toy synthesiser, and a dance anthem chorus. It’s quite chaotic, about running away from any kind of boring situation.”

The clip was shot in Melbourne (Collingwood) and features Melbourne dancer Samantha Bruzzese. The basic idea of the clip is centered around The Cat Empire’s history of creating music for people to dance to. As punters know – when fans go to shows they let themselves go, with no inhibitions and dance. The song ‘Wolves’ is about running away from something boring for something exciting. The task for Samantha was to create that her dance…which she does.

Check out the impressive video below and if you like what you’re hearing be sure to catch the crew at their upcoming shows.
