If you’ve been looking to break into the music industry, but you’re not sure where to start, The Push are currently looking for a new batch of recruits that could give you the leg up you’ve been dreaming of.

For the uninitiated, The Push is a non-profit youth music organisation in Victoria. Now in their 28th year of operation, The Push support young people to develop personally and professionally through the power of music.

The busy Push team, although small, deliver a large number of annual programs and events and will be participating in the upcoming Face The Music conference with events such as the Push Pop Up Shop and Push Songs songwriting workshops.

They’re currently on the hunt for experienced and talented staff to join their ranks, including a Creative Producer, an Administrator / Bookkeeper, a Project Coordinator – Music Industry Pathways, a Project Coordinator – Social Media and Online Content, and Project Coordinator – Hip Hop & Electronica.

The Administrator / Bookkeeper will have demonstrated office management experience and bookkeeping skills to keep The Push running smooth, while the Creative Producer will be someone savvy enough to lead the strategic and creative program development of The Push.

If you’re looking to apply for the position of Social Media and Online Content Project Coordinator, you’ll need demonstrated experience in coordinating social media campaigns and an ability to produce quality audio visual online content.

As the Music Industry Pathways Project Coordinator, you’ll have experience in delivering training and development activities and a comprehensive knowledge of the issues, the music and the people of Victoria’s contemporary music business.

Lastly, The Push’s new Hip Hop and Electronica Project Coordinator will have well-disciplined project management skills and direct experience in delivering Hip Hop or Electronic music programs to younger people across a variety of programs and events.
