One of this country’s most exciting new talents JOY. has had a pretty busy 2015. The Brissy based artist claimed the title of the Triple J Unearthed Feature artist earlier this year, performing as the Triple J Unearthed winner at the Brisbane leg of Laneway Festival and Field Day 2015.
Following on from that JOY. absolutely slayed Bigsound this year while still finding time to share stages with the Kite String Tangle, Dustin Tebbutt, Miami Horror, and Tkay Maidza.
She also just released her absolutely striking EP titled Ode, and in to mark the achievement she’s on the road for a tidy little national tour. I spent my 18th birthday in America. so what else is there to do other than take a standard 18 year old photo in an 18 year old pose ((SCHOOLIEZZZ VIBESS)). My favourite thing about this photo is that I had had these braids in my hair for about a week at this point. Yuck, oops.
