Jakubi have recently returned home to Melbourne, after having completed a wildly successful two-month national US tour (the second North American tour in under twelve months).

The five-piece known for their stylish blend of R&B, hip-hop, jazz and pop, sold out their headline shows in New York City, San Francisco and Chicago in advance and performed at major US festivals including Summer Camp Music Festival, Electric Forest, Taste of Randolph and Wakarusa 2015, which saw them performing alongside the likes of The Roots, Ben Harper, The Dandy Warhols and Skrillex. 

Since the release of their first single in 2013 the band’s music has been streamed online at combined number of more than 10 million times. Debut singles ‘Can’t Afford It All’and ‘Holiday’ both reached #1 on Hype Machine charts.

The insanely catchy single ‘Couch Potato’ has been streamed over a million times online, breaking into the Hot AC Top 50 chart where it peaked at #44. The viral hit has earned the praise of the king of pop culture commentary himself, Perez Hilton, who says, “It’s so dope! They’ve got a real laid-back, positive vibe that’s infectious.”
