Australia’s a good place to be if you’re a fan of hard rock, heavy metal, and/or punk. After all, we’ve nurtured some of history’s greatest artists in these genres, from AC/DC to The Saints.

But the organisers of new Aussie music festival Rolling Thunder are about to unleash the most metal thing ever on unsuspecting Australian punters everywhere – a music festival in a castle.

This February will see Texan heavyweights The Sword headlining the inaugural Rolling Thunder music festival, which is set to take place at Kryal Castle, near Ballarat in Victoria.

Joining them will be a raft of local and international powerhouses, including the likes of Clowns, American Sharks, Beastwars, Radio Moscow, Kings Destroy, Salems Pot, Holy Serpent, and more.

Early bird tickets running just $80 are available on Wednesday, 18th November via Trybooking, while full price tickets will be available from Wednesday, 2nd December via Oztix.
