Back in January, much-loved Sydney outfit Sticky Fingers did the unimaginable when they managed to sell out an entire tour before it was even announced. The group sold out three East Coast dates without so much as a press release.

As we reported at the time, the band simply put their gig details on the websites of the various live music venues where they were performing and allowed the traditional excitement of word of mouth to move every last available ticket.

Then, they did it again. In August, Sticky Fingers managed to sell out a gig at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre without so much as a peep from the band. Somehow, fans managed to catch wind of the news and bought up all the tickets before they even had a chance to announce it.

Somehow, the band keep on selling out shows and even entire tours without telling anybody about them. Now, we can officially claim that Sticky Fingers might be the sneakiest band in Australia with a very switched-on fan base. Yes, they’ve done it again.

As Music Feeds reports, Sticky Fingers have another performance set for the Enmore Theatre in April 2016, a fact the band hadn’t actually made public, but the show has not only managed to sell out, it’s alerted fans to an upcoming StiFi tour.

According to Ticketek, “Sticky Fingers are coming back to home soil with a full National tour planned for April 2016. After the success of their second album, Land of Pleasure, the boys are set to release their third album in October 2016.”

“They’ll be touring round Australia again with new songs and a new single up their sleeves.” Meanwhile, the band’s booking manager, Neal Hunt, has told Music Feeds that the Sydney show “leaked out” and accidentally went on sale.

More shows will reportedly be announced in the coming weeks, with “around eight or nine” all up. Those announcements “won’t be secret at all” but tickets will no doubt still fly out of the door. According to Hunt, the band “won’t be in Australia much next year”.

The band have spent much of 2015 touring abroad and working on their eagerly anticipated third album. The band recently unveiled a new single, however, a cover of ‘Ghost Town’, the classic tune made famous by The Specials.
