The summer festival season is just a few sleeps away and what would summer be without the return of Australia’s biggest and most cherished free music festival? We’re talking, of course, about St Kilda Festival.
Set in the picturesque landscape of the St Kilda foreshore, the iconic St Kilda Festival is an annual mix of live music, performance, carnival rides, sports, market stalls, activities, and entertainment for all ages.
2016 will see St Kilda Festival celebrating its 36th year, featuring the return of old favourites as well as plenty of new attractions to keep the excess of 400,000 visitors that attend each year engaged and having fun.
The New Music Stage, a yearly highlight of the festival, will once again feature ten of Australia’s best emerging acts, with the audience favourite awarded a $5,000 cash prize and the honour of playing at the 2017 Festival on the Main Stage.
