In 2016, Melbourne’s beloved Cherry bar will be hosting the 10th birthday edition of “Australia’s only dedicated rock n roll street festival”, CherryRock. Organisers have now announced CherryRock016 will be headlined by none other than Richie Ramone.
The legendary drummer for punk icons The Ramones will be appearing exclusively in Victoria at Cherry. As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations, CherryRock016 will be going with a Too Tough To Die theme, in honour of the classic Ramones album.
“Ten years is a hell of an achievement. Like Richie Ramone, Cherry is ‘too tough to die’ and I can’t wait to see AC/DC Lane jam-packed in a denim group-hug, all singing ‘Somebody Put Something In My Drink’ with Richie Ramone of the Ramones!” said Cherry Owner and Booker James Young.
