The New Year is just around the corner which means you can expect plenty of lists coming your way all this month. triple j Unearthed recently decided to reflect on their last 12 months and have now unveiled their 50 most played artists of 2015.

Sitting atop the list is Gordi. It’s been a massive 12 months for the Sydney via Canowindra singer-songwriter, who recently played triple j’s ARIA week showcase and won the $7,500 Josh Pyke partnership, all while pursuing a degree in medicine.

Hot on her heels are Vallis Alps. It’s been an equally huge year for the electronic duo, who went from a simple home studio project to touring around the country, making their live debut at none other than Splendour In The Grass.

Other bands and artists who’ve been receiving major love on the Unearthed airwaves include Sydney alt-pop favourite Le Pie, Falls Festival comp winners Mangelwurzel, alt-rock up-and-comers Tired Lion, and talented young rhyme-slinger Baro.

You can check out the full list of artists below or head on over to triple j Unearthed to check out music from each of the artists included in the list, as well as some very interesting triple j Unearthed stats.
